Fun Pool Features

Whale Sprayground - This area is for children 5 years of age and under with adult supervision. Swim diapers are required if children are not potty trained.

Zero-Beach Entry - Water entry is level to allow access for all patrons. A water access chair is available at the front desk.

Water Castle - This is a fun place for kids to enjoy. Only one child may go down the slide at a time and s/he must go down the slide feet first.
Please do not swim under nor climb up the slides.		 Water Castle
Blue Otter Slide - This slide is 8 feet wide having a gentle slope. Up to 3 (three) children may go down at the same time side-by-side.
Everyone must go down the slide feet first. Only children are permitted to use this slide.		 Blue Otter Slide
Red and Orange Water Slides - These fun slides are for patrons 48 inches tall or above as required by the state of PA.
Everyone MUST go down the slide feet first.
The wearing of glasses or goggles on these slides is prohibited.		 Red Orange Slide
Lazy River - The Lazy River is 6 feet wide by 3 feet 6 inches deep. It features a current that channels through and empties into a vortex circle. Water tubes are provided for patron use.
Children under the age of 6 AND those who cannot stand above the water level MUST be accompanied by an adult who is 16 years of age or older. 		Lazy River
Hydrotherapy Pool - This area is restricted to ADULT use only. Neither children nor infants-in-arms are allowed within or on the sides of the Hydrotherapy pool.

The lift for persons with disabilities is available upon request. Use shall be under the direction of Pool Operations Department. The Water Access Chair for persons with disabilities is located at the front desk. ADA flotation collars are provided by the Hatfield Aquatic Center.

Fitness Pool Features

Fitness Pool

General use of the Fitness Pool is restricted to those persons who can swim freestyle the width of the pool and back float/tread water for at least 30 seconds (Deep water assessment test). Children age 12 and under must pass the deep water test to use the pool and its features without an adult. The swim test is given every hour on the half-hour beginning at 11:30 A.M. The last swim test is given at 6:30 P.M. Upon passing the swim test, the swimmer will receive a yellow band indicating passage of the test. This Yellow Hatfield Aquatic Center wristband must be worn at all times.
Parents/adults may take their non-swimming children into the 4-foot area of the Fitness Pool, with the understanding that the entrance level starts at 4 feet. Reminder: Only properly fitting, coast guard approved flotation devices are allowed. Anyone using a flotation device must be accompanied at arms length by a responsible adult. The HAC has a supply of floatation devices available for loan to patrons.

Green Drop Slide -This slide allows patrons to plunge into the deepest part of the Fitness Pool. Patrons must be 48" or taller as required by the state of PA.
Glasses / goggles may NOT be worn on this slide.


Diving Board - 
The diving board is available to those age 13 or older, or anyone younger with a yellow band. Forward diving only - no back dives allowed.


IMPORTANT:
Both the Green Drop Slide and the diving board end with YOU landing in 12 feet 6 inches of water. For your own safety, please consider your personal swimming ability before using either of these features.
