The Hatfield Township Municipal Authority (HTMA) is responsible for
most of the sanitary sewage collection system throughout Hatfield
Township, as well as operation of the treatment facility on Advance Lane
in Colmar. In addition, the HTMA is responsible for enforcing the
Hatfield Township Sewer Use Ordinance.

Hatfield Township Municipal Authority Rates and Fees
- Hatfield Township Municipal Authority Sewer Rate:
- Residential: $390 per year per EDU
- Commercial: $475.44 per year per EDU
- Industrial: $5.11 per 1000 gallons base rate, plus applicable surcharge
- Garbage Disposal: 0.2 times the base rate
- Towamencin Separate Sewer District Sewer Rate:
Rates are charged at the then current Towamencin annual sewer rate with an additional $8.00 maintenance/administration fee.
- Tapping Fee: $3,824 per EDU
- New Construction/Connection: $200
- Lateral Repair/Replacement Permit
- Residential: $75
- Commercial: $100
- Demolition Permit: $50
- Sewer Certification Fee: $50 per certification
- Returned Check Fee: $35
- Water Reconnection Fee: $50
- Lien Removal Fee: $32, plus hourly attorney fees
- Inspection Fees:
- Single unit connection, one visit: cost included with connection/permit fee.
- Multiple unit connection shall be charged at the then current rate of the Inspectors hourly fee plus any necessary consulting engineer fees.
- Consulting Engineer Fees: Fees charged by the Authority for services performed by its consulting engineer shall be charged at the then current rate charged to the Authority by its consulting engineer for the services being rendered.
- Attorney’s Fees: Fees charged by the Authority for services performed by its solicitor shall be charged at the then current hourly rate charged by the solicitor to the Authority for the services being rendered.
